Q: Tell us about yourself and your family.
Married? Children? How many?
I've been married for 10 years to my wonderful hubby, John.
We have 2 children, Brennan is almost 7 and Noah is 14 mos.
We have had a long road with infertility and have 5 angels
waiting for us in Heaven. We are looking at adopting in
the future. We originally wanted 4 children, but will
settle for 3! :)
Q: If you have children, what is your favorite part
about being a mom?
All of it I just love my children. I love taking
my oldest to school and being involved in his room. I
love that my youngest is home and am enjoying having a baby
again.
Q: Cat or dog person? Why? Cats, they do
their own thing. Love you, want to be your friend, but
have their own life! Also, they are low maintenance.
Q: Favorite color? Least
favorite? Any particular reason?
Pink. Black.
Q: What type of music do you prefer?
Christian Rock
Q: Last book that you read - or tried to read?
Cookbooks, local newspaper and the Bible.
Q: What do you prefer to do in your spare time?
Hobbies/Interests?
I am very social. I love having friends over and playing
cards, or letting the children have their friends over.
Q: Funniest WAHM moment. I
guess it was this year when we were putting
the tree up and I found a diaper ornament.
I hung that bad boy on the tree and showed
everyone. LOL I received it from
a company that I ordered from last year and
this year I am doing what I love.
Selling cloth diapers myself.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your business?
My son Noah. I cloth diapered him and there was no one
in my state to buy from. So, I started my own webstore
and let the people in my state know I am here.
Q: How long have you been in business? Is your
business all online or do you have any local business?
5.5 months. I do both local and online.
Q: How did you go about starting your business?
What was the VERY FIRST thing you did?
Got my business license. Very important beginning part
of business operation. People won't sell to you without
a business license.
Q: What did others think when you started your business?
Were they supportive?
Most people thought I was crazy. I had a few supporters
who have been here from the beginning though. But most
people said I would quit cloth diapering the first month also.
That hasn't happened either. :)
Q: Do you have a business plan or flying by the seat
of your pants?
I am flying!
Q: What is your daily routine?
I get up and get the boys fed. The oldest goes to school
and then the youngest and I get online and check our email.
Then we go about our daily living: laundry, lunch, dinner,
cleaning, etc. . . More checking email, boys home from school,
snack, hubby home, dinner, email, bed.
Q: What have you found to be the toughest part of the
job of WAHM?
I constantly can find things to do online to try to generate
business. It can take over. But I don't let it and
if I start to my dh puts a stop to it pretty quick. He
wants us to spend time together as a family at night time.
Q: What do you feel is your greatest
strength and the greatest asset that you
bring to your business? The knowledge
of cloth diapering, the testing I myself
have done on my products, and my good
business sense.
Q: How would others
describe you?
Fun, money savvy,
Christian.
Q:
On the
other
hand,
what do
you feel
is your
greatest
weakness
- how
have you
dealt
with
that in
your
business?
I
sometimes
will
think
something
is a
great
advertising
idea and
I'll
mostly
lose
money on
it.
But
that's
okay,
because
you
can't
learn if
you
don't
make
mistakes.
Q: How would you describe yourself? I'm a
wife first, momma second, and business owner, third!
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
Being at home!
Q: What is your favorite other WAHM/WAHM sites?
I love WAHMall and WAHMChicks.
Q: What is your definition of a WAHM?
One who works at home and is able to balance children,
husband, house and business.
Q: What is most important to you in a
Cloth Diaper Resource site?
Information.
